Medications 1:45pm May 7th

So the doctors have decided to increase Owen's dose of Captopril.  They want to see his BNP lower than it is, and to do that they have to try to decrease his degree of heart failure (remember heart failure just means the heart is working harder).  They have decided that this time they will only increase those dose from 1mg to 1.25mg instead of to 1.5mg like they did the last time.  I wish I didn't have to go back home again tonight because I have a feeling that Cassie is going to be freaking out all night.  They aren't changing the dose until 6pm, the next time he gets Captopril.  Hopefully the smaller dosage increase will work better.  He is in a better place than he was last time too.  If they need to increase his fluid volume he still has his NG tube in so we won't have to rely on him being hungry to get him to take fluids.
