Rounds 11:00am April 12th

Well, they just rounded on Owen.  The plan is definitely to try to take him off of the ventilator today.  Before they can take out his vent they want to get him off of the umbilical line so they will have to sedate him to get another arterial line so they can still measure his blood pressure and then they will remove his umbilical line.  They don't want to take out his breathing tube while he is sedated so they will wait until he wakes up and then they will take him off of the vent.  So finally sometime probably this afternoon Owen will be off ventilator support.  Hopefully it will stick this time and we can hold him.
